§ 17-11. Transition to Four-year Terms of Office.

Notwithstanding any other provision of this Charter to the contrary:

(a)

A regular municipal election shall be held on the first Tuesday in April, 2011.

(b)

Councilmembers elected in Council districts 1, 2, 4 and 6 at the April 2010 regular election shall serve a term of two years ending in April 2012. Councilmembers elected in Council districts 3, 5 and 7 at the April 2011 regular election shall serve a term of three years ending in April 2014.
